The Core's Station North Arts District shines online
What are these women mentally preparing for?
They wouldn't say, but we happen to know that both Gina Tackett and Jordan Faye Block are going to be presenting in Station North Shines, a live stream on Friday, May 22nd 5pm-7pm, accessible from Station North on Facebook. It's an online artwalk, with a live feed from the actual locations in Station North. Gina will present the whole process behind her shell casings-turned talismanic jewelry. Jordan will present her own artwork and that of @justynzolli_visualartist, and Chehalis Hegner Photography, all currently lining the walls of Thrive Atelier. Station North Shines also features: Elliot Keeley, studio manager with the Baltimore Jewelry Center. Qwishuna Smith with Lobe Dangle, and Open_Works's Laura Cohen, who will demonstrate how to make a shadow puppet theater using materials from around your home.
Speaking of Station North, that tiger, who also appears to be wondering what Gina and Jordan are up to was created by Jaz as part of Station North A&E District's Open Walls project, curated by Gaia.
Only in The Core, keep exploring!
