Miracle newstory banner.jpg

Visitors to the recent holiday market at MICA's Brown Center on Mount Royal Avenue, at the southwestern edge of The Core, were once agian dazzled by its cutting edge architecture.

Though the building is hard to miss, a lot of people don't realize it isn't just a resource for MICA faculty and students. Its art exhibitions are wide-ranging (the annual Baltimore Japan Art Festival for instance) and open to the general public. The building's design by Ziger Snead and Charles Brickbauer has been lauded internationally. and includes a gallery space that is one of the best in The Core, and in terms of natural light it has no peer. It contains theater spaces as well.

So if you haven't been inside, head over the next time they have a show, the building itself is worth a trip.
